What is the offside trap?
The offside trap — step up together or pay the price.
The trap requires the defensive line to step up synchronously as the ball is played. One mistimed step and it becomes a through-ball catastrophe. High lines and traps go hand in hand. Communication and a vocal organiser at the back are essential.
