What does pass completion rate tell us?
High pass completion isn't always good — it depends what passes you attempt.
A 90% completion rate looks impressive but might reflect conservative sideways passing. Progressive pass rate and passes into the final third reveal more about attacking intent. Midfielders typically complete more than forwards attempting through-balls.
