What is handball?
Handball isn't just 'ball hit hand' — arm position matters.
Not every ball-to-arm contact is handball. Since 2019/20, the focus is on whether the arm is extended unnaturally or the body is made bigger. Defenders can have arms close to the body in natural positions. Accidental handball by an attacker leading directly to a goal is also penalised.
